Get ready for your work experience.
Most employers want you to have some employment experience when you graduate. Your academic or independent internship and your PEF (Final Evaluation Project) will be an opportunity for you to gain some work experience and to experience a routine of daily work and work by objectives.
It is important to consider that some employers will grant economic support but others will not and that some of the opportunities will be part time and others full time.
At the Career Services Center we advise you so that you can find opportunities that will enrich your career development:
- Internship Program (PEP):
You must perform activities related to your area of study, completing 180 hours in an academic semester, reporting to your academic advisor (akin to filling a vacancy).
- Academic Liaising Projects:
You must develop a project related to your area of study; it must be real and take a minimum of 180 hours to develop. You will be supported by an academic advisor (akin to doing consultancy).
- Final Evaluation Project (PEF):
This is a project that you will develop with support from an advisor, as an option to obtain your degree. It must be real and in line with your area of study.
- Independent internships:
These internships are not part of any of UDEM’s academic programs. In addition to their PEP and PEF, interns look for an opportunity to do an internship and/or gain more work experience in their professional field on their own initiative and independently. Interns can be from any semester of their course of study.
