To shape professionals with the necessary scientific knowledge to understand, interpret, analyze and explain human behavior in various dimensions, theoretical perspectives, methods and techniques. They should also have basic abilities and skills for assessing and being involved in the social, educational, clinical and organizational fields; and committed to the promotion of health and the psychological wellbeing of human beings.Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to evaluate problems or conditions detected in learning scenarios; apply techniques and psychological intervention methods according to the consulted scientific literature.
- Demonstrate competence in the clinical psychology field in order to apply evaluation instruments and interpret results so as to develop a psychological treatment or intervention according to the selected theoretical approach (psychoanalytic, behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, humanist, etc.).
- Demonstrate aptitude and dexterity to evaluate the needs of the client(s) based on demand and within their own theoretical psychological framework in order to develop and evaluate interventions in the work and organizational fields.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to develop research, specifically when defining a problem, questions, hypotheses and objectives related to research, sustained by a theoretical framework, in the selection of the method and procedure as well as in the analysis and debate of the results.
