The Secretariat of Economy undertook the initiative to create incubators in Mexico about a decade ago. Since then, a number of incubators have been created throughout the country. Currently, there are nineteen incubators in Nuevo León, most of which are located in Monterrey and its metropolitan area.
CIDEM is the first center in Mexico and Latin America certified in the model SBDC Mx, transferred to the Mexican Association of Centers for the Development of Small Businesses (AMCDPE) by the USA Small Business Association (SBA). Likewise, it has an incubation model transferred by the Secretariat of Economy, classifying us as an intermediate technology incubator.
The aim of all incubators is to provide advice and training to emerging PYMEs at accessible prices. Therefore, CIDEM was created in 2005, to provide expert advice, training, and access to current networks.
To encourage the training and development of enterprising leaders and the strengthening of competitive PYMEs that generate high added value, with a focus on innovation, the marketing of technology, and internationalization.
The Center for Business Incubation and Development aims to position itself as a major option to provide support and guidance to the entrepreneurs of the UDEM community, particularly to UDEM graduates. CIDEM also aims to stand out as a leader in the business entrepreneurship milieu at the national level.
