Sustainable Architecture

Sustainable architecture includes building design, whose aim is to achieve a high level of dwelling comfort by adapting a building’s design, geometry, orientation and construction to the climate conditions of its environment. Additionally, it tries to minimize energy consumption and, consequently, environmental pollution.

Basic tools include a series of design strategies and considerations which allow us to capture solar energy, to ventilate and illuminate spaces naturally, through the building’s envelope.  Therefore, URBANA carries out:

  • Research and building design projects based on high energy-saving bioclimatic systems that use eco-friendly materials in combination with natural ventilation.
  • Research on the design of alternative energy systems (solar, wind, and hydraulic energy)
  • Design of eco-efficient industrial parks
