At UDEM, we promote the development of your spiritual dimension, oriented to service.
UDEM was founded in 1969 by a group of local entrepreneurs and by members of five religious congregations:
- The Marist Brothers
- The Brothers of La Salle
- The Daughters of Immaculate Mary of Guadalupe
- The Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
- The Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word
UDEM is an institution of catholic inspiration that tries to be faithful to the Gospel and educate its students with values, aiming for a more humane, Christian society. Nevertheless, UDEM is open to receive students of all creeds and backgrounds.
The Department of University Spirituality for Service (DEUS) fosters the access of members of the UDEM community to meaningful experiences of encounter with God, themselves, and their milieus.
One of our aims is for you to delve into, live, share, and celebrate your faith, committing to the service of others for the construction of a more just, fraternal, and inclusive society, in accordance with the values of the Gospel.
This is achieved through co-curricular courses, formative activities, participation in the sacraments, and spaces for encounter and reflection.
DEUS relies on the participation of young people who voluntarily collaborate in the missionary and social responsibility activities.
Approach DEUS and develop your spiritual and transcendental dimension.
