Social Service is an opportunity for you to develop and transcend by sharing your talents, skills, and knowledge for the benefit of society. At UDEM, we want social service to become a unique experience for you.
We want your philosophy of life to be shaped by an attitude of service and commitment to the most disadvantaged members of society, increasing your potential to change your milieu so that you become a transforming leader in the service of your community.
Social Service is part of your university studies at UDEM. It starts when you sign up to the Social Formative Education Workshop, which you can do once you have earned 132+ credits.
You will have to complete 480 hours of social service at an institution authorized by UDEM, within a period of 6 months to one year. You will also have to take 20 hours of the Social Formative Education Workshop.
The goal of the Social Formative Education Workshop is to sensitize participants and awaken a critical conscience about worldwide needs, thus promoting their active participation in the sustainable development of their environment.
You will also learn about different Social Action Institutions where you can do your Social Service.
We remind you that you can check and complete your evaluations in the Luminis Portal, with the “Cursos” (Courses) tab, in the menu on the left, under the “Servicio Social” (Social Service) option.
