We offer excellent theoretic and practical training with mass media in our Bachelor of Information and Communication Sciences program. Our highly recognized professors supervise the students during their extensive practice in journalism and on real radio and TV programs. This allows our students to develop the skills the need to immediately enter the job market. Our graduates have reached highly prestigious positions in all of the most important communication companies in our country.

Objective

To shape professionals with competencies to analyze, design, and produce communication strategies of a visual, verbal, and digital nature that can respond to the needs of business people, public figures, and to the society in general.

Enrollment Profile

The students who enroll in this program are passionate about reading, oral expression, creative and persuasive writing, and, of course, the media.

Graduation Profile

Upon completion of their undergraduate degree, the student will be able to analyze, design, and produce communication strategies of a visual, verbal, and digital nature that can respond to the needs of society and remain contextualized in the political, economic, and cultural fields.

  • Professional studies, these are the specialized, professional courses that make each degree plan unique.
  • General studies area, these are the courses that provide a general and interdisciplinary overview.

Bachelors of Information and Communication Sciences (LCIC) are prepared to work in: 

  • Public and private companies and organizations: where they design and implement internal and external communication programs, as well as communication policies and strategies, and consult other departments in this particular area. They will also be capable of working in the advertising field where they can develop and assess advertising initiatives. They may also be recruited to facilitate social or political campaigns. 
  • The media: where they work as producers, directors, scriptwriters, journalists, advisors, and creators, for a radio or television station, or in a movie production studio. They may also decide to create their own audiovisual and /or multimedia production companies. 
  • Advisory and consulting companies: serving companies and organizations that require experts capable of performing communication studies, as well as offering various types of programs in this area.
