Follow UDEM

The UDEM signed agreements with private and public hospitals, certified by the United Mexican States' General Health Council [Consejo de Salubridad General de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos] to offer Medical Residency Programs to MD graduates. These Programs have been officially recognized by the Departments of Health (Secretaría de Salud) and Education (Secretaría de Educación) of Mexico since 1990.

Medical Residencies Program Graduates are able to:
  • Take care of their patients in a comprehensive manner, either preserving health or treating illnesses with a holistic approach, from biological causes through to social and psychological aspects
  • Apply state of the art techniques and methods of their field for health prevention, diagnostics, treatment and/or rehabilitation of their patients
  • Reach valid and reliable therapeutic decisions by following care standards derived from scientific evidences provided by basic scientific, clinical, and epidemiological research
  • Understand the social and institutional conditions surround medical practice, education and research
  • Use their critical perspective to solve medical problems in a profession manner while remain within ethical and legal boundaries
  • Develop social awareness and an understanding of their role in society and the sociopolitical environment
