Classes will restart on May 7

In accordance to the authorities, Universidad de Monterrey will resume classes on Thursday, May 7, while all its faculty and staff (1,200 people) will go back to work on Wednesday, May 6 to prepare classes and to participate in the rescheduling of academia activities.

The University congratulates and believes that the resuming of classes represents the control of the outbreak that has affected Mexico. By opening the campus and the high school units it joined the efforts to keep up the guard and keep supporting the necessary measures to prevent the disease.

Among the academic resolutions that were informed today by the interdisciplinary committee representing all areas of the institution, are the following:

  1. During Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 (May), all professors will contact their students to check on the work done at home during these days, and every professor is required to identify the best way to evaluate the third partial, by the work done in class or online.
  2. The dates for the final exams remain the same and they will include everything stated in the course outline. May 27 is still the deadline for delivering final grades.
  3. As previously informed, all works, homework, and individual projects will be delivered on the first day of classes.
  4. There will be no exams during the first day of classes. On this day, Thursday, May 7, students will know about the rescheduling of the pending evaluations.
  5. Students will familiarize with the calendar for the reposition of classes on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10, May.
  6. UDEM gave international students the option to go back to their home country as well as its support for the students to finish the courses online, so professors are required to take this cases into account and to ensure punctual contact with these students.

UDEM emphasized that the priority is still the integrity and wellbeing of its community and asked its members to reinforce the preventive measures once the activities resume. It also requested its members to be attentive to UDEM notices through its media:
