To our dear international students:
It gives us great pleasure that you have considered Universidad de Monterrey as your option for study, either as an exchange student or as a regular student pursuing a professional degree.
At UDEM you will encounter a dynamic university atmosphere to stimulate your intellectual development. We strive to achieve academic excellence and the formation of leaders endowed with self-confidence, a critical and analytical spirit, social consciousness, high ethical standards, intercultural sensibility, and global competence all of which contribute significantly to worldwide peace and well-being.
Our aim to achieve excellence in our functions of teaching, investigation, service, and extension was confirmed by our accreditation in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). This accreditation makes UDEM one of the only four Mexican universities to achieve this distinction in the U.S.A. We are also proud of the response of the job market: 85% of our graduates encounter work within three months of graduation.
We are constantly developing new alliances with universities throughout the world to implement our programs in international education. We offer unique courses and activities that promote an understanding and appreciation of the history, culture, and society in Mexico, as well as the acquisition and perfection of communication and linguistic abilities in Spanish. We have excellent professors who are characterized by the personalized attention given to students.
We offer short programs and stays of one or two semesters for exchange students, as well as both undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Today, Mexico is the most important Spanish-speaking country in an enviable geopolitical position as a bridge between North America and Latin America.
We welcome you to explore and to better know our country during your sojourn at UDEM. I look forward to personally welcoming you in the near future and wish you the best in your future studies.
Respectfully,
Thomas M. Buntru Wenzler
