Description

The Specialization in Multicultural and Equity Studies deals with present-day experiences, in which society seeks spaces for analysis, with critical rigor and a re-orientation on topics of values, the fight against injustice, and humanization. This graduate-level specialty offers you tools to reassess ways of action conducive to a more sustainable, supportive, and compassionate world for everyone. 

Upon completion of your studies, you will be able to suggest and participate in multicultural exercises that strengthen equality and to provide specialized advice and consultancy related to the areas of study and to cultural development and equality.

Objective

In this Specialization in Multicultural and Equity Studies, the students will receive the tools to rethink and suggest ways of action to develop a more sustainable, more supportive, and more compassionate world for everyone, thus contributing significantly to improve the design and execution of personal and institutional projects, providing optimum solutions set in the context of the social setting. 

Admission Profile

In order to pursue the Specialization in Multicultural and Equity Studies, you should…

  • Show interest in the theoretical foundations of culture and equality. 
  • Be able to apply humanistic tools and/or knowledge to professional practice. 
  • Demonstrate open-mindedness to new knowledge and being in the habit of studying and participating in continuing education activities. 
  • Understand the English Language and translating from it. 

Graduate Profile

Upon completion of this specialty, you will have developed the following knowledge:

  • Development in the different areas of study of the Humanities, especially regarding topics of Multiculturality and Equity. 
  • Application of research methods for equality. 
  • Application of multidisciplinary knowledge oriented to the development of Culture and Equity.

Upon completion of this specialty, you will have developed the following skills:

  • Analyzing phenomena related to Culture and Equity. 
  • Advising on issues related to equity. 
  • Solving practical problems through the tools and knowledge of Culture and Equity. 
  • Leadership.
  • Advising on cultural projects. 
  • Teaching in high-school level programs.

Upon completion of this Specialization in Multicultural and Equity Studies, you will have developed the following attitudes:
