This scholarship is a joint endeavor between Industrias AIEn and UDEM. It is granted to the children of AIEn collaborators who have an outstanding academic record and verifiable financial need.


 

Who can apply for this scholarship?

The children of Industrias AlEn collaborators who have an outstanding academic record and verifiable economic need.

What are the benefits?

  • Coverage of up to 90% tuition fees, according to the result of socioeconomic study conducted by the Financial Aid area.

  • The tuition coverage percentage is respected for bilateral internationalization programs.

If you are a suitable candidate, how can you apply?

  • Enter the first semester of an undergraduate degree program.

  • Fulfill the corresponding Universidad de Monterrey admission requirements:

    • Obtain a score of at least 1,200 points in the entrance examination.

    • Achieve a grade point average of at least 85 or its equivalent in high school.

    • Take the TOEFL exam (requirement for the undergraduate degree program in Medicine, Surgery, and Midwifery).

  • Submit the application for financial aid.

  • Carry a full course load in the semester.

  • Turn in a 1,500-word essay that answers the following:

    a) Your interest in pursuing the degree program and why you chose the Universidad de Monterrey (750 words).

    b) Your professional development aspirations and how you intend to contribute to the development of Mexico and your community (750 words).

  • Complete and submit application and its attachments.

  • Submit the data use authorization form.

  • Submit the image use authorization form.

  • Print out the checklist form (to be completed by the Center for Information Services and Student Services).

  • Perform the psychopedagogical, psychometric and vocational guidance tests that are requested.

  • Once you have been notified that you are a scholarship recipient, come over to sign the letter of commitment.

What must you do to maintain your scholarship?

  • Maintain a grade point average of 85 or higher for every semester.

  • Carry a full course load in the semester.

  • Do study-work service (scholarship internship).

  • Pass all courses taken in the semester.

  • Not to drop any courses during the semester.

  • Before the end of each semester, address a letter to your scholarship benefactor, mentioning the relevant learning and challenges of the semester taken.

  • Participate in institutional events promoting social responsibility and the sense of belonging, such as Gente UDEM, Soy UDEM, Más Manos por tu Comunidad, to name a few.

  • Complete your undergraduate degree program.

  • Advise in writing of any favorable changes to your family’s financial situation.

  • Comply with UDEM’s regulations and statutes.
