Rubén Everardo García Medina, a graduate student in the Bachelor of Business Creation and Innovation program, won the first place in the M&T Consulting contest with the "SAM PROGRAM" project.
Rubén owns Mr. Cake. He has experience in development and leadership of national and international teams, and is committed to results and a high degree of creativity.
A series of menus designed to meet the needs of the elderly, with special care in diabetes, form the entrepreneurial project of Catalina Alejandra Camarillo Silva, a student of the fifth semester of the Bachelor of Business Creation and Innovation program.
Her project, "Grand Plan", led her to compete in the National Final of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) Mexico 2018.
Mariana de la Garza de los Santos, from the academic program of Bachelor of Business Creation and Innovation, was co-winner of the first place of the call organized by the magazine Travel Impact Newswire, in which they invite young people to reflect on how tourism impacts in the 17 Sustainable Development Objectives proposed by the UN.
Mónica Itzel Guerrero Hernández, Walter Daniel Mata Martínez, María Carolina Bonilla Villarreal, Pedro Sergio Guajardo Reyes, Ana Sofía Ramírez Valdez and Francisco Sergio García Luna Vázquez, students of the Bachelor of Business Creation and Innovation program, participate in the final of the National Competition ENACTUS 2018.
The participating students are also members of the student chapter ENACTUS of the UDEM, whose objective is to work in favor of the communities most in need through different sustainable projects and the positive power of business.

As part of our efforts to promote entrepreneurship, at the Universidad de Monterrey we have obtained the following achievements:
Mayela Fernández Cantú and Paulina González Peña, students of the Bachelor of International Marketing program, as well as Karla Lizeth González Reyes, student of Business Management and Administration, and Frida Aizaneth Sevilla Medina, student of Engineering Business Management, were finalists in the Premio Santander de Innovación Empresarial. As the next phase of the contest, they will compete at a national level.
Eugenio Gerardo Garza Garza, student of the academic program of Bachelor of Economics, won the first place in the category "Poetry" in the 9th Literary Contest "Palabras que cuentan", with his work Montañas anónimas: poemas incompletos.
The contest, organized by the Department of Cultural Diffusion of the UDEM, had as juries the writers Alejandro Vázquez Ortiz, Carlos del Castillo and Merari Lugo Ocaña.
The eighth semester students Walter Daniel Mata Martínez, Bachelor of Business Creation and Business Innovation, and Francisco Sergio García Luna, Bachelor of Economics, won the Komenko Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence.
The students demonstrated that it is possible to manufacture from blocks, walls and tiles, to floors, tiles and kitchens with the waste mixture that they have called polycrete, which is the combination of polymers and concretes in English.
