UDEMUN 2026

Dear Delegates, Advisors, and Observers,

On behalf of UDEM Preparatory School, it is my great pleasure to extend the warmest welcome to the Twenty-Seventh Edition of the University of Monterrey Model United Nations (UDEMUN 2026).

My name is Ricardo Guerra Zárate, and I have the privilege of serving as Secretary-General for this edition. To me, UDEMUN represents much more than an academic simulation; it is an opportunity for young people with diverse perspectives and ideas to come together in committee, engage in dialogue, and work collaboratively to address some of the greatest challenges facing our world today.

Throughout UDEMUN’s history and legacy, a community committed to developing leaders has been built—young people who are conscious of their surroundings and the realities of the world around them, and who are willing to make a meaningful impact. Each UDEMUN opens a window of opportunity for young leaders to develop their skills in diplomacy, critical thinking, communication, and, above all, teamwork.

Our world today needs young people who are capable of transforming ideas into action. For this reason, in this edition of UDEMUN, we are committed to guiding you as you discover your talents, encounter new perspectives, and, above all, make the most of every moment as an opportunity for learning and personal growth.

Behind UDEMUN stands a team that has carried out its work with integrity and pride, dedicating itself to building an experience worthy of everyone who will take part in it. Our greatest hope is that, when these two days come to an end, you will take home much more than photographs and recognitions. We hope you take with you meaningful experiences, new friendships, a broader vision of what you can achieve when you have the courage to show who you truly are, and, above all, one more reason to become leaders of change and leaders of tomorrow.

We invite you to experience this edition of UDEMUN with an open mind and an open heart; to participate actively, enjoy the event, challenge your own proposals and ideas, and remember that great change begins with a single decision.
