María del Roble Garza Treviño holds a bachelor’s degree in Educational Sciences from UDEM and a master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Family Orientation from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

She worked at the Psychopedagogical Centers of the Secretariat of Education, as well as in the Human Resources department of Supermátic, a Grupo VITRO company. 

She has worked at the Universidad de Monterrey for 27 years, where she has held the following positions: professor, chair of the Mentoring and Values area, and principal of the Valle Alto Prepa UDEM campus. She currently holds the position of Vice President of High School Education and she is a member of the University Senate. 

She has been part of several apostolic movements, namely Movimiento de Jornadas de Vida Cristiana, Movimiento Familiar Cristiano (Christian Family Movement) Familias Misioneras (Missionary Families), ANSPAC, and parochial groups, as well as community service and citizen support projects. Currently, she and her husband are part of the apostolic movement Schoenstatt Family Monterrey. 

She has collaborated with the Consejo de Valores de Nuevo León (Nuevo León Council for Values) through the creation and facilitation of the human development program for Fuerza Civil (Civil Force).

She is the co-creator of “Ándale María”, an annual congress for the improvement and development of women, and of the CreSer program for vulnerable women. 

She has led workshops and talks for different audiences related to education, self-improvement, family, service, citizenship, spirituality, teamwork, and leadership, among others. 

She is a member of different boards related to family and education. She was awarded UDEM’s Roberto Garza Sada Pro Magistro award and as an “exemplary citizen” by the organization "Paz es" (Peace is).

With Francisco Javier, her husband, she started a family which is now made up of three children and a son-in-law. 

She is passionate about the education of young people and service to her country. She has complete trust in God and believes in family as the best and most important element in the upbringing and education of human beings, and in its contribution to society.
