Finalists in Santander Prize

Mayela Fernández Cantú and Paulina González Peña, students of the Bachelor of International Marketing program, as well as Karla Lizeth González Reyes, student of Business Management and Administration, and Frida Aizaneth Sevilla Medina, student of Engineering Business Management, were finalists in the Premio Santander de Innovación Empresarial. As the next phase of the contest, they will compete at a national level.

Triumphs in literary contest

Eugenio Gerardo Garza Garza, student of the academic program of Bachelor of Economics, won the first place in the category "Poetry" in the 9th Literary Contest "Palabras que cuentan", with his work Montañas anónimas: poemas incompletos.

The contest, organized by the Department of Cultural Diffusion of the UDEM, had as juries the writers Alejandro Vázquez Ortiz, Carlos del Castillo and Merari Lugo Ocaña.

Innovate in construction materials

The eighth semester students Walter Daniel Mata Martínez, Bachelor of Business Creation and Business Innovation, and Francisco Sergio García Luna, Bachelor of Economics, won the Komenko Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence.

The students demonstrated that it is possible to manufacture from blocks, walls and tiles, to floors, tiles and kitchens with the waste mixture that they have called polycrete, which is the combination of polymers and concretes in English.

Professor is awarded at the Ibero-American Congress

The teacher Maritza Núñez Ramos, from the UDEM Business School, was awarded in the 8th Ibero-American Congress of Work Psychology and Human Resources for her workshop "Evaluation of skills for executives: leadership and conflict management", which was the best evaluated

The specialist in organizational psychology and human resources indicated that, in her workshop, a methodology of psychometric tests was used to measure the different styles in which a leadership can be exercised, according to the degree of maturity of the group.

Director of LTU is a member of the Tourism Cluster

Ana Sofía López, director of the academic program of Bachelor of International Tourism, is part of the board of directors of the Tourism Cluster of Nuevo Leon.

In her academic training, Ana has a postgraduate degree in Global Tourism Management from the School of Commerce of Troyes, France, and is certified as a specialist in Incentive Tourism by SITE Global and in Organization of Events by the AMDEMAC and CAT consultants.

LTU is affiliated to AFEET and AMESTUR

The program of Bachelor of International Tourism is affiliated to two associations: AFEET (Asociación Femenil de Ejecutivas de Empresas Turísticas de la República Mexicana, A. C.), whose board is Ana Sofía López Sotomayor, director of the academic program; and AMESTUR (Asociación Mexicana de Centros de Enseñanza Superior en Turismo y Gastronomía).

LTU obtains CONAET accreditation

The Universidad de Monterrey received the accreditation for the academic program of Bachelor of International Tourism by the Consejo Nacional para la Calidad de la Educación Turística (CONAET).

This accreditation will allow entering a network of collaboration with the tourism sector. Its validity ends on March 2, 2022.

CONAET is an accrediting body in Mexico ─ housed by COPAES─ whose activities are aimed at contributing to the quality of education in the tourist area of Mexico.

This laboratory features technological resources such as simulator, statistical, financial, and accounting packages for the different courses of the degree programs of the School of Business.

This laboratory features four equipped service modules.

It provides you with the necessary tools to carry out the activities corresponding to the courses Gastronomic Techniques, Mexican Gastronomy, Culture Seminar, and International Cuisine of the undergraduate degree program in International Tourism.
