Students will be able to critically analyze the current political options after learning a specific set of concepts. They will also have to demonstrate their knowledge of the main problems current democratic systems face.

HU 3156 Philosophy of Language

Students will be able to recognize the features of semiotics and criticize the different interpretations of the symbol, on the basis of the philosophy of language linked to metaphysics and hermeneutics. Students should also be able to apply the philosophy of language to a practical case in ethics.

HU 3151 Metaphysics

Students will identify the fundamental problems of metaphysics, of the self in general, its attributes, types, categories, and beginning, approaching the different philosophical interpretations. They will also learn about the stances on the absolute self.

HU 2317 Creative Writing Workshop: Short Story

By the end of this course, students will have learned the narrative foundations of the short story as a literary genre and its leading exponents through history. This knowledge will allow students to get tools to apply in their own creative process, and review other narrative works from a critical point of view.
