The aim of this course is for students to design the right location of a plant or warehouse, considering cost, and environmental and social factors. They will be able to design and to improve the layout and material handling systems of a facility, aiming to reduce the cost of handling materials.

The aim of this course is for students to discover and study the crystalline structure of metals, ceramics, and polymers, as well as their mechanical and technolgical properties and the methods that can be applied to determine these properties.

Sudents will use the scientific method as a design norm, as well as the the concepts of kinematics and dynamics, in the development of computer simulations. They will use specialized software in the structuring of their projects.

The aim of this course is for students to apply the main laws that govern wave motion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and gas theory in the solution of science and engineering problems.
