The practicum consists of students doing work similar to that which they will perform in their professional life. One hundred and eighty hours will be covered in an institution with which UDEM will formalize an agreement to receive students.
Students will be able to understand, analyze, problematize, and interpret social conflicts, both at the national and international level, based on the theoretical and methodological tenets of the sociology of conflict, in addition to the social realities of today's environment.
The aim of this course is for students to analyze the changes that work has undergone since the advent of modernity, contextualizing it in their economic, political, and social dimensions, which allows them to inform people and organizations so that they can adapt accordingly.
Students will develop the ability to plan and structure research through the use of different qualitative techniques.
Students will become acquainted with some of the theoretical foundations, methodologies, and instruments of qualitative research and they will create narrative records of the studied phenomena through techniques such as observation, interviews, and focus groups.
Upon conclusion of this course, student will understand and apply the main operations and uses of statistics through the utilizaiton of the SPSS statistical program.
