Objective
To train specialist doctors in Family Medicine with an academic curriculum that includes knowledge from various specialties; capable of conducting family health assessments, as well as preventing, diagnosing, and providing primary, continuous, comprehensive, and anticipatory medical care to adult and pediatric patients with medical-surgical conditions. They should skillfully and proficiently use assessment instruments and innovative technology to develop a professional practice with the highest standards of patient care and safety, while coordinating with a multidisciplinary health team.
Furthermore, the specialist in Family Medicine will operate within a framework of ethics, humanism, and service vocation, respecting the environment; using scientific research as a regular tool in their daily practice, and committed to continuous professional development in their discipline.
