Nery Gracia Ledezma

Vice President for Communications and Marketing / Head Officer for the Board of Trustees

Nery Gracia is a strategic leader with more than a decade of experience in communications, marketing, institutional relations, and governance. Since March 2026, she has served as Vice President for Communications and Marketing at Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM), in addition to having served as Head Officer for the Board of Trustees for the past 14 years. In these roles, she leads the University’s communications and marketing strategies to strengthen its positioning, as well as governance processes and relationships with members of the Board of Trustees.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from UDEM, a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) in New York, and a Master’s in Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her education has been complemented by executive programs in creative leadership, strategic thinking, and innovation at institutions including Cambridge, Columbia Business School, and Cannes Lions School. She recently completed the AI Leadership Accelerator program at LSE, where she deepened her knowledge of value creation, AI adoption strategies, and responsible AI governance.

Throughout her career at UDEM, she has held leadership positions including Director of Governance, Communications and Institutional Relations (2016–2018) and Director of Communications and Marketing (2018–2024).

Her key contributions include the creation of UDEM Productions, which strengthened the University’s audiovisual production capabilities; the redesign of graduation ceremonies, which gave rise to UDEM Commencement; and the strengthening of the University’s digital marketing ecosystem through the integration of platforms, processes, and capabilities that support data-driven decision-making. She has also contributed to strengthening UDEM’s editorial work through publications such as the Annual Report and 360° UDEM magazine, as well as various books.

Her previous professional experience includes collaborations with organizations such as Alliance Abroad Group, The Earth Institute, Fundación ALAS, Pro Mujer and Azarmehr & Associates Law Group, all of which are based in the United States. She currently serves as Chair of the Communications Council at Instituto Nuevo Amanecer A.B.P., as a board member of Cómo Vamos Nuevo León, and as member of UDEM’s Communication and Marketing Committee.
Passionate about social transformation, she is a professor at UDEM’s School of Law and Social Sciences, as well as participating as an instructor in community-based projects.

Personally, Nery strives to maintain a balance between intellectual development and her physical well-being, with sports playing a central role. Over the years she has practiced gymnastics, softball and soccer, and currently enjoys swimming, playing tennis and doing yoga, which she complements with her interests in reading and the arts.
