Upon completion of this course, students will be able to apply the principles and regulations of acoustic and lighting design, identifying the nature of sound dissemination and control, including its techniques and regulations, in order to develop architectural spaces with adequate, functional acoustic designs, without overlooking the use and application of technology, systems and lighting equipment as part of the architectural proposal in different building typologies.

DA 3075 Technology, Systems and Materials of Sustainable Architecture

Upon completion of this course, students will be acquainted with some of the most relevant types of sustainable constructions available in our context, in order to develop critical judgment to select appropriate techniques, systems, and materials for the specific conditions of a project, from its conception to its use, contributing to reduce the environmental impact that the buildings have on their surroundings.

DA 2222 History of Mexican and Latin American Architecture

By the end of this course the students will be able to learn about and understand spatial, formal, and tectonic transformations of Mexican architecture within its geographic and social - historical - cultural contexts, connecting it with the inheritance that defines the identity of Latin-American nations, in order to develop a critical judgment about the different architectural events that took place both in Mexico and Latin America.

DA 2085 Fundamentals of Urbanism

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to describe the historical, social, cultural, and economic phenomena that have an impact on urban morphology and city sustainability, communities and urban districts; explaining the role played by the municipality, developers, communities, architects and urban planners, in order to comprehend and create critical judgment about urban growth and development, through a theoretical analysis and case studies.

DA 2051 Advanced Building Systems

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to apply the fundamental principles and regulations to be used for the installations, lighting systems, hydraulic, sanitary, and electricity equipment of commercial and institutional constructions, meeting the technical criteria for systems, installations, and equipment for environmental control in buildings: cooling, heating, plumbing, lifts, and sewage systems, and a diversity of renewable energy sources, in order to identify and select the best possible installations for the architectural design and construction project.

DA 2015 Architectural Design IV

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to apply theoretical knowledge and design abilities to the development of an architectural project of high programmatic complexity, with a strong influence of the urban context, in order to develop critical judgment and the capacity to explore and innovate through the architectural proposal, without overlooking the research, application, and implications of aspects such as the structural criteria, materials technology, and energy efficiency.

DA 1395 Architectural Representation I

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify the logical-expressive tools and methods applied to space representation processes as well as to processes used to represent basic architectural objects, from the inception of an idea until the project's definition, in order to develop the ability to select adequate methods, techniques, and tools for the architectural representation in all the stages of the design process.
