This course is intended for students with no prior knowledge of the German language.  Students will learn to express themselves using the simple verb tenses and basic vocabulary in order to cope with daily life situations.

This course is intended for students with no prior knowledge of the French language.  Students will learn basic vocabulary and simple verbal tenses and they will be able to name and describe objects in common situations such as the house, classroom, supermarkets, and restaurants. They will be able to compare the past with the present.

This course is for foreigners. Students will get acquainted with and understand the relevant aspects of daily life, popular culture, traditions, politics, history and economy in contemporary Mexico, in order to understand Mexicans and their culture.

Students will be able to understand native speakers of Spanish, even when not addressed directly, and to interact in most situations as native speakers do. They will be able to argue and sustain a point of view as well as to communicate complex information (like explaining processes) adapting their language to the audience.  This applies to both written and spoken communication.

Students will not only be able to hold a conversation, but also to change the subject and to start a conversation, lead and manipulate it.  They will be able to deal will all common daily situations and adapt to unexpected situations without communication flaws.  Students will also be able to read factual and fictional texts and write effectively about their own opinion and about facts.  At this level, students will start developing argumentation skills; they will use comple

During this level, students will work with more formal situations in order to contribute in a more significant way to conversations according to different situations (classroom, ethical discussion, negotiations in general).  They will be able to write summaries of events and meetings, among other situations.  Through a more developed vocabulary, students will be able to communicate more efficiently and fluently.

Students will understand most of the common situations of daily life with help from their interlocutors and they will function reasonably well in simple daily life. They will understand simple readings (instructions, personal letters, comics or texts giving an opinion) and will be able to write them as well.

Students will broaden the knowledge acquired during the first level; they are expected to express likes and dislikes, preferences, suggestions and advice for daily situations such as traveling, touristic sites, food and restaurants.  They will be able to talk about the future, their wishes, goals and actions leading to those goals.
