Upon completion of this course, students will be able to apply theoretical knowledge and design abilities to the development of an architectural project of high programmatic complexity, with a strong influence of the urban context, in order to develop critical judgment and the capacity to explore and innovate through the architectural proposal, without overlooking the research, application, and implications of aspects such as the structural criteria, materials technology, and energy efficiency.

DA 2000 Architectural Design I

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to apply theoretical knowledge and design abilities to the development of architectural projects of low and medium programmatically complexity, in order to perceive the architectural object as a habitable space, thus developing critical judgment and the capacity to explore and innovate in terms of the architectural proposal, without overlooking research and incorporation of a structural criterion or the influence of the construction materials.

DA 1395 Architectural Representation I

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify the logical-expressive tools and methods applied to space representation processes as well as to processes used to represent basic architectural objects, from the inception of an idea until the project's definition, in order to develop the ability to select adequate methods, techniques, and tools for the architectural representation in all the stages of the design process.

DA 1000 Introduction to Architecture

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to comprehend the foundations of architecture, its evolution and the causes of the great transformation it has experienced. At the same time, they will be able to see the figure of the architect from a historical perspective, its current situation, and the contemporary trends and working systems, in order to develop their own opinion based the evolutionary changes of architecture and the profession of architect.
