DM 2015 Theory of Sustainable Fashion Design
The aim of this course is for students to acquire the basic knowledge to create and implement fashion-design and manufacturing projects by using sustainable materials and processes.

The aim of this course is for students to: (1) Develop new tools for 2-D and 3-D shape and volume construction. (2) Understand the behavior of alternative, non-textile materials.
The aim of this course is for students to: (1) Create fashion collections inspired by different themes, performing design exercises in which a variety of materials are used. (2) Master pattern grading in various sizes. (3) Produce more complex garments, using different techniques for high-quality finishes.
The aim of this course is for students to understand the construction of fabrics, the origin of their raw materials, how they are identified, and how they can be applied in garments.
The aim of this course is for students to gain basic knowledge on the careers of notable fashion designers and photographers, both contemporary and from the past.
The aim of this course is for students to: (1) Acquire the skills necessary to accomplish the development of a concept to be applied in a fashion collection. (2) Produce basic pattern templates by size to be used in future projects. (3) Develop basic cutting, sewing and draping techniques to be applied on mannequins. (4) Make simple garments.
The aim of this course is for students to develop the abilities to pencil sketch the different parts of the human body in their correct symmetry and proportions, creating different positions of the fashion figure.
Obtain the basic knowledge in the representation of different kinds of textiles such as volume, movement, texture as well as printings.
This course aims for students to learn about searching for fashion trends in the world wide web and about researching inspirational themes in various media, as well as the history of fashion and the different types of garments which are part of female attire, for later application in design projects.
