The aim of this course is for students to apply the theoretical knowledge they acquired in the Pathology and Medical Surgical Nursing I program in areas such as Internal Medicine, Endoscopy, Inhalation Therapy, Renal Unit, Outpatient, Oncology, and Chemotherapy. They will also provide psychological and spiritual support to patients and their families, using the Nursing Care Process.

EM 3011 Nursing in the Care of Children and Adolescents

Upon completion of this course, students will have acquired the theoretical knowledge necessary to provide systematic care to healthy or sick children at the different stages of growth and development, based on the ethical tenets, care protocols, and safety standards established in pediatrics services. All of the above in order to identify and set up an assistance plan through nursing care process, based on Virginia Henderson's model.
