HU 3410 Sociology of Organizations

This course will present the main elements of an organization so that the students can have a theoretical framework of reference that allows them to understand and interpret the behavior of the organizations in which they are involved or of which they will be a part in the future.

AA 1105 Art After the Cold War

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to analyze the condition of artistic production during the last 20 years of the 20th century from the point of view of the influence of political and social events of that time. They will also identify the relations between these events and the artistic production of peripheral or emerging countries.

CB 1112 Nutrition

The aim of this course is for students to be able to explain the basics of nutrition through the features and functions of nutrients (carbohydrates , proteins, lipids , vitamins, and minerals) and their relationship to human health and welfare at different stages of life. They will also get acquainted with the role that food technology plays in the human diet.

FM 1115 Statistics

The aim of this course is for students to understand and apply the basic concepts of probability and statistics to the analysis and interpretation of quantitative information. These concepts include: grouping and graphical representation of data, descriptive measures, exploratory data analysis, probability distributions, classical theory of estimation and hypothesis testing, correlation and regression, and non parametric tests.

ID 1311 Upper-Elementary German

Students will understand most of the common situations of daily life with help from their interlocutors; and they will be able to function at survival level. The students will also understand simple readings and will be able to write them as well, thus achieving a better level of communication.

ID 1305 Elementary German

Students will broaden the knowledge acquired during the first level. They are expected to express likes and dislikes, preferences, suggestions, and advice for daily situations such as traveling, places to visit, food, and restaurants.  They will also be able to talk about the future to make plans for practical purposes and to express their wishes, goals, and the actions leading to those goals.
