Clinical rotations

If you are a medical student, you can gain clinical experience at the Universidad de Monterrey.

Private hospital ​You will work under supervision of the doctor in charge. You will not have direct contact with patients. Placement fee: MX$2,500
Public hospital ​You will work under the supervision of the doctor in charge and you will have direct contact with patients. Placement fee:​ It varies according to the number of weeks and the number of specialties in which you wish to rotate.

e.g. 4-week rotation = MX$4,000

Clinical rotations are assigned for a minimum of four weeks.

Emergency Medicine Summer program

In this course, you will learn about, detect, and treat the acute diseases which are currently considered the leading courses of death worldwide, among both pediatric and adult patients.

Sign up and obtain internationally-recognized credentials in basic, advanced, and pediatric cardiovascular life support from the American Heart Association!

1. Emergencies program:

  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Cardiovascular emergencies
  • Orthopedic emergencies
  • Respiratory emergencies

  • Endocrinological emergencies
  • Neurological emergencies
  • Initial Approach to the Poisoned Patient
  • Shock state

2. Clinical practice at public (active participation) and private hospitals.

3. AHA credentials (Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Cardiovascular Life Support).

4. Accommodation at the UDEM Residence Halls (double room).

Spanish and Mexican Culture – Total Immersion
