Her main areas of research are innovation in technology and education, innovative educational models, and education in vulnerability contexts.

Through her academic career, she has occupied various positions at national universities (ITESM Chihuahua Campus, the Universidad Intercontinental in Mexico City, and UDEM) carrying out different duties such as professor, researcher and/or director at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels.

From 2003 to August 2020, she was in charge of the high school education level at UDEM, which is made up of six high school campuses, first as Director of High School Education, and subsequently as Vice President of High School Education.

As part of her work experience at the high school level, at PREPA UDEM she was in charge of the planning, opening, and operation of the Valle Alto, Fundadores, and Obispado campuses, as well as of the design and implementation of the Bicultural High School, Multicultural High School, and International Baccalaureate programs.

She was responsible for designing and opening the Santa Catarina Polytechnic Preparatory Schools (La Fama and Poniente campuses) as a social program of UDEM that is based on a unique program with an innovative operating system, addressed at young people who graduate from public middle schools. This project aims to contribute to alleviate the lack of educational offer to meet the existing demand at the middle-education level.

Regarding academic quality, she coordinated efforts to achieve international certification at the San Pedro, Valle Alto, and Fundadores campuses as IB World Schools, accredited in the DP (Diploma) and CP (Career-related) Programmes by the International Baccalaureate Organization. At the national level, PREPA UDEM obtained accreditation in the excellence register of the National System of High School Education by incorporating the competency-based education model into all its programs.

Currently, she is a collaborator with the International Baccalaureate Organization, as a member of the international network of educators. She has also been the vice-chair, chair, and a board member at the Asociación de Colegios Mexicanos authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IBAMEX – The International Baccalaureate Association of Private Mexican Schools).

Since August 2020, she has held the position of Vice President of Strategic Transformation at UDEM. The main challenges of this position are coordinating the implementation of the Strategic Plan, facilitating, encouraging, and infusing innovation and agility within the institution, as well as managing change.
