Studying Dentistry at UDEM was an excellent life decision. They taught me how to be a well-rounded professional, from the academic side to the human service area.

Now, as I work and pursue my master’s degree in Orthodontics, I realize that I received an excellent education at UDEM and that it has helped me to take advantage of opportunities and learn more each day in order to provide my patients with the best care and service.

For me, studying at UDEM became a life experience.

As an out-of-towner transferring from a public system to a private one, I was very uncertain about whether I would be able to adapt, but UDEM’s humanistic system is felt and experienced in everything: the interaction with the faculty, the integration activities with your peers, the possibility to continue fostering your values and receiving spiritual guidance right on campus.

Pursuing my MCD degree at UDEM was the best decision I could have made. It is a program that demands a lot of dedication and commitment from the student while, at the same time, it is very enriching.

I have been fortunate to continue my dentistry studies in the area of Orthodontics abroad. I completed a year-long fellowship at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health ATSU. Subsequently, I did a mini-residency at the University of Alabama UAB and now I am about to start my master’s and specialty at the University of Rochester, New York.

I still remember the first day I went to the UDEM campus as a student of the undergraduate degree program in Nutrition. I was seventeen years old and was experiencing mixed feelings: fear and courage, insecurity and the desire to get ahead, all those feelings inspired by the uncertainty of starting my university studies at a great school such as UDEM.

At UDEM, I experienced whole-person education first hand. During my course of study, not only did I learn about Psychology, since my program was flexible, and I was able to personalize it, I took some courses in Differential Calculus, Literature, and World Politics.

Thanks to the broad offer of extracurricular courses, I also had the opportunity to learn about dance, guitar, and the theater. I participated in student groups, went to Canada on an exchange program, did internships in various organizations, and provided support as a psychologist at a community center.
