Admission process

If you are a undergraduate student, follow these steps:

If you want to come to UDEM as an exchange student, please consider carefully the following information:

  1. We need to receive a nomination from your home university. If there is no agreement in place between your home university and UDEM, please send a message to: [email protected]
  2. You will have to access our virtual platform (studyabroad.udem.edu.mx), and upload the required application documents. You will be able to find a step by step guide here.

During the first step of the process, you will be required to submit the following documents:

  • Application form
  • Copy of your passport
  • Copy of academic transcript up to date

 A second step will require:

  • 2 letters of academic recommendation (free format)
  • English proficiency (B2 or equivalent in any other test: IBT, PBT, IELTS, TOEIC)
  • UDEM Comprehensive Privacy Notice
  • Color photograph for your UDEM ID
  • COVID vaccination certificate
  • Copy of health insurance

*All documents and requirements can be found within the virtual platform.

Important notes:

If your university has a student-exchange agreement with UDEM, you will not pay tuition at UDEM, you will only pay the semester’s tuition at your university of origin.

If there is no agreement in place between your university and UDEM, you will need to register as a direct enrollment student. That is to say, you will have to pay tuition at UDEM according to the number of credits that you register for.

If you are a graduate student, please submit the following paperwork:

  • Copy of your passport.
  • Application for admission.

  • Course request letter signed by your academic advisor.

  • Copy of your professional transcripts to date, certified by your university.

  • Two letters of academic recommendation from two professors, certified by the exchange office of your university.

  • Proof of Major Medical Insurance for your entire stay in Mexico. UDEM offers this insurance to all its students and you can request it upon arrival at the Student Information and Assistance Center (CIAA).

If our universities do not have an agreement, you will have to enroll as a direct enrollment student; that is, you will have to pay your tuition at UDEM according to the number of credits you register.

Once you have your paperwork completed, send it to the following e-mail address [email protected]
