DA 2000 Architectural Design I

Submitted by ocarrizales on

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to apply theoretical knowledge and design abilities to the development of architectural projects of low and medium programmatically complexity, in order to perceive the architectural object as a habitable space, thus developing critical judgment and the capacity to explore and innovate in terms of the architectural proposal, without overlooking research and incorporation of a structural criterion or the influence of the construction materials.

DA 1924 Morphology

Submitted by ocarrizales on

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to apply knowledge of modeling and geometric programming to the most common cases of urban and space architectural design in order to understand digital design and manufacture models from the different programming languages and parametric design platforms.

DA 1397 Universal History of Architecture

Submitted by ocarrizales on

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify and analyze the development of architecture in Euro-Asian cultures, covering the Middle and Far East, the Greek-Roman world, and Christianity up to the end of the 17th century, with the purpose of developing critical judgment to understand the events that led to the transformation of world architecture.

DA 1395 Architectural Representation I

Submitted by ocarrizales on

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify the logical-expressive tools and methods applied to space representation processes as well as to processes used to represent basic architectural objects, from the inception of an idea until the project's definition, in order to develop the ability to select adequate methods, techniques, and tools for the architectural representation in all the stages of the design process.

DA 1003 Descriptive Geometry

Submitted by ocarrizales on

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify and understand the principles and elements of descriptive geometry. They wil have developed the ability to analyze and understand existing topologies, in order to formulate formal proposals based on rational thinking.

DA 1002 Analytical Drawing

Submitted by ocarrizales on

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify and apply hand drawing knowledge and techniques used for the analysis and representation of architectural thinking (outlines and sketches) in order to understand the use of drawing as an essential tool to communicate their design process.

DA 1001 Composition and Design

Submitted by ocarrizales on

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to recognize and comprehend the principles and basic elements of architectural language, form, and space, through an exploration process based on two- and three-dimensional exercises, in order to achieve an approach to architectural language, representation methods and project development.
