SC 1040 Texturing and Lighting of Digital Content

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to identify different types of lights and lighting. They will understand techniques for their digital representation and will apply them to the lighting of digital scenes. They will also create high-quality materials and textures which work in conjunction with lighting and will apply these materials and textures to three-dimenstional models through the use of specialized computer tools in order to analyze and replicate real and/or stylized features in animation projects.

SC 1012 Introduction to Databases

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to: (1) Gauge the role and importance of databases in an organization. (2) Apply concepts for the implementation and administration of a database. (3) Design a database using the Entity-Relationship model and the relational model. (4) Learn and apply a database query language created with the Relational Model.

SC 1006 Inorganic Modeling

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to build high-quality three-dimensional inorganic  models through the use of specialized computer tools, e.g. Maya, and various modeling techniques such as polygons and surfaces, creating and adapting the topology to ensure correct volume and shape.

They will be capable of using digital technologies for production and recognize their applications to identify how games reflect and construct individuals and groups and their impact on human culture.

SC 1004 Hardware Laboratory

The aim of this course is for students to conduct experiments seeking solutions to specific specific problems in the area by using Microprocessor programming logic.  (Microprocessors Internal data flow ,  set of instructions, control peripherals, interruptions, microcontrollers environments, hardware description languages, practical applications).

SC 1003 Internet Technologies

After completing this course, students will be able to: (1) Apply and integrate HTML / XHTML / XML / JAVA SCRIPT / jQuery to create and validate documents and generate content via programming. (2) Apply XML to transform documents between different formats. (3) Apply presentation technologies like Cascading Style Sheets ( CSS ) , XSLT -FO , DHTML . (4) Evaluate the performance of web documents according to publication criteria. (5) Use "WEB Markup " such as SVG , SMIL , RSS.
