CIEES Good Quality Programs

The following academic programs have satisfactorily met the quality standards declared by the Interinstitutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CIEES).

SACSCOC
  • La Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) es uno de los seis organismos acreditadores regionales que establecen estándares de calidad para la Educación Superior en Estados Unidos y en el mundo, ayudando a las instituciones a fortalecer sus resultados, generar confianza y servir a los estudiantes de manera eficaz.
  • Tiene sus raíces en la fundación de la Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) en 1895, y se estableció formalmente como SACSCOC en 1917 para evaluar la Educación Superior en el sur de Estados Unidos.
  • La UDEM es una de las más de 780 instituciones acreditadas por este organismo en todo el mundo.
  • De las siete instituciones acreditadas fuera de Estados Unidos, la UDEM es una de las solo cuatro universidades mexicanas que cuentan con esta prestigiosa acreditación internacional.
  • El primer proceso de acreditación de la UDEM ante la SACSCOC se realizó en 2001, seguido de los gestionados en 2006, 2016, y el reciente proceso en 2026.

  • Actualmente, la UDEM cuenta con esta acreditación institucional internacional con vigencia al año 2036.

    *La Universidad de Monterrey está acreditada por la Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) para expedir títulos de licenciatura, especialidad, maestría y doctorado. La Universidad de Monterrey puede ofrecer además credenciales como certificados y diplomas en los niveles mencionados. SEAES
  • El Sistema de Evaluación y Acreditación de la Educación Superior (SEAES) es un organismo mexicano cuyo objetivo principal es evaluar, acreditar y mejorar de forma continua la calidad, pertinencia y equidad de las instituciones y programas educativos universitarios en el país.
  • Es un mecanismo creado bajo la Ley General de Educación Superior (LGES) de abril de 2021 y lanzó su primera Convocatoria de Acreditación Institucional (CAI) en 2023.
  • Actualmente, más del 50% de la matrícula de Educación Superior ya participa en la dinámica del SEAES.

  • Proceso: El SEAES promueve una cultura de evaluación de cinco ámbitos fundamentales de la vida universitaria, a través de siete criterios transversales.

  • La UDEM se integró a la CAI de 2025 y se encuentra en proceso de acreditación ante este organismo.
